The Creative Director of Red Door Artsis responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality arts and cultural programming to adults with adisability in the community. The Creative Director will deliver classes for Ever After Theatre and is responsible for the creative direction and delivery or all arts programming at Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre.
Red Door Arts programming includes:
- Weekly evening classes in music, drama and art delivered across a term, facilitated by artists. These classes target an older age group.
- Weekly evening children’s drama class facilitated by a theatre practitioner
- Ongoing strategic and artistic development of Ever After Theatre Company, an ensemble of actors who have a disability.
It will be essential for you to have experience in professional arts practice or management as well as the ability to design projects that engage a diverse group of participants in development and performance. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role. You will also need to be able to use your skills to adapt programming in response to changes in the arts and disability sectors in collaboration with the General Manager of the Neighbourhood Centre. We are looking for a person who is passionate about creating opportunities for artists, who can lead when necessary and who values their team. You will need experience writing effective funding submissions, managing stakeholder relationships and partnerships.
